K.E. has done it again and created a new series that will sure be one of my favorite rock series to follow in the future. K.E. creates a very beautiful story that continues from the previous series the Rock God series that she has written before this series.I really enjoyed reading Rock Solid this will be a great series to read can't wait to read each book that comes out - 5 Star Reviewer

From the Author who brought you The Rock God Series, comes The Next Generation Series. A spin off including the great characters you loved from the original books.

Rock Solid The Next Generation Series #1
Growing up as the adopted daughter of the world's most famous rock singer isn't all it's cracked up to be. Annie Slade has lived her entire life with wealth, fame and everything she's ever dreamed of. She has a perfect family, an amazing best friend and everything is going great for her.But when has the road to the top ever run smoothly? Can Annie survive the hurdles, tight turns, and dangers at every corner?

Annie starts to realise, that following in her father's footsteps and becoming as famous as he is, has its downside. With fame comes paparazzi, fans and gossip. Mix that, with hormones racing through her body confusing her to no end and the emotions of being a young teenager, well, Annie becomes one unsettled rock star.

Aston is Annie's best friend. They've grown up together, lived, breathed and felt every bump in this rock star road together. Will Annie realise that her true love has been there all along? Or will a blast from her past make everything Annie has ever wished for become a deadly reality?

I like the author. I like the writing style. I even think the way the romance develops between the two main characters is sweet.

And then the author decided to turn Annie into a completely illogical bipolar nightmare of a person. Most romance novels I have read basically have the formula of "girl just wants guy to tell her he loves her, and then when he does they live happily ever after the end" but in this one...He tells her right off the bat he loves her, and what does she do?!? (spoiler: SHE SLAPS HIM). In fact, there's kind of a bit of foreshadowing because every time the guy shows her affection, she shoves him away. I mean, there kind of was foreshadowing in the weird tantrums the girl has in the beginning of the book, but it's really illogical, considering she has an extremely loving and supportive family and friends.

I'm still giving this book a chance though. I'm about 60% of the way done, and I'm hoping, PRAYING even, that this girl pulls her head out of her butt.

Rock Solid The Next Generation Series Book 1 edition by K E Osborn Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

First, I have to say that I really loved this book. The main characters went through so much and there were so many ups and downs in this book It was almost insane. I honestly had to deduct 2 stars due to the main heroine being difficult to tolerate through the middle of the book. I feel like some of the things that the author put her through were just to make the book longer.

Other than that, I would recommend this book.
I was lucky to win this arc and it was amazing! I couldn't put it down as it brought out so many emotions in me. This book is the children of the parents from the series Off Your Rocker? You don't have to read it to read this but it is recommended as it will make everything make more sense and you will get to know the characters.

I absolutely loved this book. Annie is the adopted daughter of Colt and Lia and Aston is Annie's best friend and son to Lia's best friend Anna and Colt's band mate Johnny. Annie and Aston have grown up together and have been best friends since they were little. They are also in a band named Staked together. Annie struggles with what fame brings out and not knowing who her birth parents are and doesn't feel she can be loved. Can Aston help her with that and can they have a relationship between them? Someone from Annie's past comes into play which makes for a difficult situation and I really can't say anymore as I am not going to give away spoilers.

This book deserves more than 5 stars and I can't wait for the next book! This is a must read!
I tried really hard to like this story. It just doesn't make any sense. I truly sympathise with men who are unlucky enough to be attracted to this kind of crazy. The first trouble I had with the story was a heterosexual teenage girl who wasn't into boys. Not impossible but unlikely and hard to swallow. So she finally decides to give a relationship with her BEST FRIEND a try. A year in she decides he's a liar because he said he loves her!?!? Give me a break!!! No woman in a relationship wants to live without those words. The very next day, after dumping him for LOVING HER, she has the gall to tell him "don't be so dramatic". That was too much for me. I don't think I can finish this one. I'm sure there is some sort of realization and a happy ending but, for now, I've hit my limit for implausibly unrealistic story lines.
Overall I liked this book. I had a very love/hate relationship while reading it. I understand that the main character had problems, but sometimes her attitude and how she dealt with her problems was a little too much. She would revert to acting like a child. I enjoyed reading about her and her friends growing up and being in a band together. I thought they all balanced each other out. I thought her relationship with Aston was cute until she sabotaged it. Good for him for taking her back and dealing with it all at such a young age. I wish that there was some lead up showing these emotions that she had. The book kept me hooked, but I found myself getting annoyed with her behaviors.
What has happened to this author? I don't think I've ever read a book with a more annoying primary character. This young girl was so awful, throwing constant tantrums, panic attacks because of her tantrums, crying, acting out in every way a teen can to get attention, plus she was mean to everyone around her. And I still can't figure out why except she's just psycho and some readers called her bi-polar. What I mostly saw was a spoiled, entitled, little attention getter, who is so selfish she only cares about herself. Her emotions are like whiplash and her thoughts on everything just makes no sense. Personally, I think Aston should have never taken her back, she should have been asked to leave the band and replaced, and her family put her out at eighteen because she was so disrespectful. I absolutely hated this book by this author, zapped the thing off my and to outer space, and don't intend to read any more offerings in this series.
Aston and Annie are children of the Rockstars from the Rock God series. Growing up around each other and the music of their famous fathers, Aston and Annie formed a special bond of friendship and the love of music. As they grew older, they along with the other children of the group, formed their own rock band. Aston and Annie since childhood did everything together and meant everything to each other. Trouble is Annie has issues with why someone would want to love her and Aston feels the strongest love for her. Annie struggles with the feelings she is having. With her band becoming known, Annie is faced with something from her past that might be more than she can handle. Through this amazing story or first love, finding strength to deal with their past and dealing with fame we see into the lives of these two. In addition some of the characters from the Rock God series are in this book so it is great to see them again. You will enjoy reading and finding how the two work through it all and see if they have what it takes to make it in love and music.
